2257 Donors

2257 Legal Defense Fund

Donors List

In November of 2004 , the Free Speech Coalition embarked on a campaign to raise money to pay for the legal challenge to 18 U.S.C. § 2257, the federal labeling and record-keeping requirments. We created a special 2257 Legal Defense Fund for that purpose, to which individuals and companies could make donations earmarked exclusively for 2257 legal expenses. The initial phase of our 2257 fundraising campaign established a goal of $200,000, and we were successful in reaching it, thanks to the overwhelming generosity and support of our members and the entire adult industry.

Recently, we embarked upon Phase II of our 2257 fundraising campaign, for which we have set a goal of raising $250,000 by the end of January 2006. We are well on our way to meeting that goal, but there is still a tremendous amount of work to be done, as we have only barely reached the middle point in our challenge to these onerous regulations.

This list of Phase 1 and 2 donors is our small way of acknowledging the individuals and companies that have contributed to this fund. Not all donors are listed here - some wish to remain anonymous - but we would like everyone to know, whether listed or not, that we are profoundly indebted to them for their support.

If you contributed to the 2257 Legal defense Fund and do not see your name on this list, and would like to be included, please contact Darmae@freespeechcoalition.com. We will not list anyone who does not first give us permission to recognize their contribution.
