Jeffrey Douglas is a Santa Monica criminal defense lawyer, representing all segments of the adult entertainment industry since 1982.  He is Chairman Emeritus of the First Amendment Lawyers Association, a nationally recognized spokesperson for the adult entertainment industry, as well as author and expert witness. Mr. Douglas appears regularly as a media commentator, and on invitation, has testified before Congress.  He has chaired the FSC Board of Directors since 1995, committed to organizing the people of the adult entertainment, products and services to improve their quality of life, strengthen the sales environment, and resist government intrusion.

Tim Valenti

Tim Valenti is the founder of, President of Falcon Studios Group and the current President of the Free Speech Coalition. As the head of Falcon Studios Group and the NS Network, Valenti is the largest producer of gay adult entertainment in the world. His first company, Cubik Media, was instrumental in bringing many adult studios online; his flagship site,, often referred to as the Netflix of gay porn, is now also one of the industry’s most respected production companies. NakedSword has also become an award-winning producer of boundary-pushing independent film, including the narrative feature ‘I Want Your Love’ and the documentary ‘Seed Money.

Kelly Holland

FSC Board Vice President, CEO and Owner of Penthouse

Ms. Holland began her career as a journalist in the 1980s, covering Central American war zones, before going on to become an award-winning documentarian. During that time, she created Art Attack, a producer of documentaries, feature films, and reality programming, and opened a production facility in San Salvador. She founded Chick Media, a production company dedicated to creating sex positive, erotic programming for women, worked with companies across the adult industry, and represented the concept of “Women’s Erotica” in a wide variety of media outlets including ABC’s 20/20, MSNBC, Elle Magazine and The New York Times. Ms. Holland has won many awards in adult media, is a sought-after speaker, a member of the National Association of Professional Women, and is the Founder and Board President of LA-based Animal Rescue Alliance.

Bob Christian

FSC Board Treasurer, Director – New Business Development for Adam & Eve

Has been with Adam & Eve/PHE Inc for 21 years. Currently serves as GM for Adam & Eve Pictures, President of the Adam & Eve Retail Stores division (AEFC), as well as a member of Adam & Eve’s senior management/marketing team. Was part of the creation of Adam & Eve Pictures, Adam & Eve Retail Stores company – currently with 68 franchised stores open, and of Temptations Parties – Adam & Eve’s Home Party company.

Has served on the Board of Directors of the Free Speech Coalition for 4 years, and as Treasurer for 2 years.

Prior to Adam & Eve, worked as GM of General Vitamin, one of Phil Harvey’s non-adult businesses.  Proud of graduating from Duke University and from University of North Carolina (MBA) and still playing drums.

Mark Kernes

FSC Board Secretary, Legal Writer/Analyst/Reviewer for AVN Magazine/

Mark Kernes is the Senior Editor for Legal Affairs for AVN Media Network, which publishes Adult Video News magazine and Kernes began working as a reviewer of adult videotapes in 1983, and came on board full-time in 1991. Before working for AVN, Kernes was a court reporter for 20 years, and his contacts with attorneys in that profession has helped in analyzing the legal issues affecting the adult industry, including anti-pornography laws, public health issues and many more. He has also attended several conferences sponsored by conservative religious groups and anti-porn groups and analyzed their motives and methods.

A “red diaper” baby, Mark Kernes was born in 1948 to Communist parents who successfully indoctrinated him in democratic socialism. After graduating NYU, he became a court reporter, but after 19 years, that got boring, so he began reviewing XXX movies for AVN, and joined the staff full time in 1991. His forte is legal news and religio-conservatism as it affects the adult industry. He essayed the starring role in The Secret Life of Herbert Dingle, a 1996 XXX video feature.

Adam Grayson

Adam Grayson began his adult entertainment career as a traffic affiliate in the late 1990s while still in high school. By 1998, he had launched his first site from his dorm room at Northwestern University. The site was sold in 2009, and Grayson then moved to Evil Angel. He served as CIO from 2010-2013 and finally assumed his current CFO role starting in 2013. On nights and weekends from 2009-2012, he earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Along with Evil Angel founder John Stagliano, Grayson oversees Evil Angel’s long-term strategy as well as day-to-day operations.

Joel Kaminsky

Joel Kaminsky is the owner of Good Vibrations, a female focused sex-positive retailer dedicated to promoting sexual health, pleasure, and empowerment.  He received his BA in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati and immediately afterwards entered the adult retail industry where he has remained for the past 40 years.  Prior to Good Vibrations, Joel has worked as the Chief Operations Officer and partner of two large adult conglomerates and has managed or opened stores in scores of cities across 9 states as well as in Australia.  Joel currently sits on the board of Free Speech Coalition and has volunteered countless hours of time in his private life as well.  Joel lives in the Greater San Francisco Area and is father to 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.

Reed Lee


Reed Lee is a practicing constitutional lawyer concentrating on free speech matters. He is serving his seventh consecutive term on the Free Speech Coalition Board. He is also a National Chairperson Emeritus of the First Amendment Lawyers Association and actively serves on the that organization’s Board of Directors as well. He has political experience ranging from grass-roots organizing to lobbying in Congress, always for the less popular or powerful as against the more. He has long felt the need to help speak truth to power and to help defend those against whom the intolerant have unleashed a culture war.

Mo Reese

Mo Reese is an adult content producer, production manager, and photographer that has worked in the adult industry since 2007.  Mo was born and raised in Oregon State. He moved to Los Angeles after graduating from the Art Institute of Seattle in 1997 with a degree in Commercial Photography. He then worked in the mainstream photography industry for 10 years before actively making the transition to adult.

Scott Watkins

Previous positions include Director of Sales and Marketing at Ronco Inventions, a well-known infomercial company; Director of Business Development at Worldlink Media, a B2B solution for direct response and infomercial clientele where he founded an integrated media division; and in his early career, as an Account Executive at Excite@Home (, a one-time provider of web hosting, site creation, and e-commerce tools.
