The below letter is only one example of what was done during an extensive campaign prior to the November 8th 2016 election in which the Prop 60 failed by over one million votes with 54% voting no and only 46% voting yes. Prop 60 would have enabled any California resident to obtain the legal names and homes addresses of adult performers and industry workers. It would have legalized harassment against one of the most marginalized worker populations. The sole proponent and only one of six supporters of this proposition, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) under leadership of the controversial Michael Weinstein, wasted over $5million of scarce public funding against a 10/1 outspent campaign mounted by adult performers and the Free Speech Coalition.Over 100 organizations, all but one California newspaper, and most astonishingly the CA Republican Party, CA Democratic Party, and CA Libertarian Party all opposed Prop 60.[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"][pdf-embedder url="https://www.freespeechcoalition.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2016/05/FSCLETTERtoResoComm.docx.pdf"][/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
