CamSoda is hiring for what it calls "CamSoda's Camming Connoisseur (CCC)" (NSFW) and the job posting is exactly what you'd expect from a cam site trying to make its mark. It alludes to a realistic job that could and should exist within a growing tech sub-industry, yet the job description itself seems a bit disingenuous.

Like watching porn? Want to do it for a living and get handsomely rewarded for it? Apply to be CamSoda’s Camming Connoisseur (CCC). CCC will anonymously engage with adult models in private camming sessions and then write a verified review for the site. As an anonymous user, models will deliver uninfluenced performances that will yield more accurate reviews. Key performance metrics include — but are not limited to — quality of orgasm, ability to talk dirty, use of toys and time to ejaculation. Review subjects will be assigned by CamSoda to ensure a variety of girls are being reviewed. The work is inherently rewarding and the hours are flexible — CCCs work from the comfort of their homes.

Frankly, I can't tell if this is a real job or simply an attempt at cheeky press, or both. If the latter, then I suppose CamSoda is getting what it desires with the 700 or so words I've propped up here. They assure me however, that this is not only a real position within the growing company, but comes with a nice salary of $69k annually, which kind of further obfuscates the validity of it.

"While some people may perceive this job posting cheeky in nature, I can assure you it is completely legitimate and that we at CamSoda are looking to fill this position with a qualified candidate ASAP," Daryn Parker, VP, CamSoda tells me via email. "Just like any other site — Amazon, etc. — it’s important that reviews/ratings are readily available. We want to provide our users with the best bang for their buck. Not only do ratings/review help pair them with the perfect model but it also keeps our roster of models accountable for their performances and, if their review/rating is low, gives them something to aspire to. It's mutually beneficial all around."
