LOS ANGELES — Squren Ad Network has released its newly updated Google-friendly popunder script.

“We see an alarming increase in Google clamping down on publishers that do not adhere to their rules,” Squren’s Head of Publisher Acquisition Edward Austin said. “Google first started by clamping down early last year with publishers that had code that activated when users clicked on blank spaces. Now Google is taking it much further and adding more rules that could make it tougher down the road on publishers.”

Austin noted that Google blocked all such ads from showing in the Chrome browser, including banners, tabs, pre-rolls and other ad types. With Chrome accounting for 35 percent of the browser market, it’s very important to follow the rules and adapt to the changes imposed.

Squren’s script allows users to set multiple parameters to activate the ad. This allows for faster updates if Google imposes more rules. Squren has also added a sector to block the ad from showing.
