FSC Sets Key Dates, Qualifiers for November Board of Directors Election

 

The election process for the 2023 Free Speech Coalition Board of Directors election will begin on October 30, 2023. In order to participate in this election, either as a voter or a nominee, you must be an FSC member as of Friday, September 29, 2023.

Directors serve two-year terms (2024-25) and are tasked with oversight and growth of the organization. Duties include attending quarterly board meetings, assisting with fundraising and initiatives, and serving as ambassadors for FSC.

Below are the key dates and requirements for participation in this year’s election:

September 29: Record Date

Date by which you must be a Free Speech Coalition member in good standing in order to participate in the election.
Those who wish to become FSC members can do so here.
Existing members who wish to confirm their standing to vote can do so here.

October 30: Nominations Begin

Two nominations from FSC members are required in order to get on the election ballot. Individuals are permitted to nominate themselves. Nominations close at midnight on the night of November 13th.

November 28: Election Begins

Election for open seats on the Board begins on November 28 and ends at midnight on the night of December 5. Results of the election will be announced in the week following the close of the election.
