Streamate Exec Liz Rek Joins Free Speech Coalition Board

The Free Speech Coalition Board of Directors has chosen Streamate Executive Liz Rek to join the Board, effective immediately. Rek, an industry veteran of over twenty years, was appointed to fill the seat of long-time Board member Reed Lee, who passed in late December.

“Free Speech Coalition is a vital force in building our industry and defending our rights,” says Rek. “I have been a champion of FSC for years, and now, at a time of unprecedented challenges, I’m eager to be a more integral part of the fight. FSC has shown that when we stand together, when we stand up to censorship and discrimination, we are truly powerful. Now is not the time to stand on the sidelines. We need everyone involved.”

Rek, the Director of Marketing at live cam giant Streamate, has been in the industry since 2000. She has worked in various capacities at the company, helping to build it into one of the most successful cam companies in the world. Rek also serves as the Board Secretary at Pineapple Support.

“Liz knows our industry and is passionate about our work and workers,” says FSC Executive Director Alison Boden. “We are lucky to have her on our Board, and I look forward to having her as a resource for the fight ahead.”
