The big four banks [in Australia] have been accused of discriminating against businesses and workers in the adults-only sector.

A new report from the Eros Association (which represents businesses from sex toy retailers to brothels) has found 16 out of 24 participants believe they recently suffered an incident of discrimination from the major bank.

The Eros report, which was authored by campaign and policy advisor Jarryd Bartle, found the most common reasons provided by financial services providers for not approving a loan or merchant services was they were part of the adult industry and that adult products have a high risk of chargebacks, fraud or non-repayments.
